Hello, world!
My name is Yrjan Fraschetti, and I am a software engineer with a passion for building scalable and efficient applications. I have experience in various programming languages and frameworks, and I enjoy learning new technologies and improving my skills.
Or at least, that’s what the AI would like me to write. It is true that I am a software engineer, but my passion is definitely not in building scalable and efficient applications. I think my passion is learning and figuring things out. I like to tinker with all kinds of things, but I have a habit of not finishing the projects I start. The reason for this is that for me, the fun part is the figuring out, and once I’ve learned what I came to learn, the interest tends to fizzle out. That is why I created this blog: To write down what I learn and figure out. Maybe it’ll even motivate me to actually finish some of the projects I start.
Right now, my time is mostly going to my newborn daughter and building a family, brewing and drinking specialty coffee, and trying out photography with a camera that is way too expensive. I’m also trying to scroll less. One way I’m doing that is trying to read more, which is how I ended up with a pocket-sized e-reader. I’ll write about that soon. In the same spirit, I’ve started modernizing an old iPod Classic to wean myself off streaming services, and began collecting and digitizing music, movies and shows.
So, we’ll see. This might just become another unfinished project, or it might actually become a place where I can share what I am passionate about here and now. Time will tell.
